Monitoring and Management Systems Engineer

The Monitoring and Management Systems Engineer is a proactive self-starter with exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills who possesses the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate has exceptional communication skills and the ability to learn quickly. He or she must possess excellent logical problem-solving skills as well as the ability to follow through to completion.

Job Description:

An ABS engineer is a hands-on team player who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. This person is collaborative, creative, and energetic in spirit. He or she is honest, kind, and courteous. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, authentic and personable. He or she has a genuine enthusiasm for technology and a keen interest in helping people achieve more through the careful adoption and support of Information Technologies.


The responsibilities of an ABS Monitoring and Management Systems Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop internal systems to meet current and future needs
  • Research and implement new solutions using internal systems to improve support/monitoring capabilities
  • Monitor existing systems and outputs to refine and improve quality
  • Follow ABS Service Department Standards and Best Practices on a daily basis
  • Manage and work through a queue of task and tickets in a timely manner
  • Communicate and meet with other engineers and management to discuss current progress towards an assigned task



  • Strong written communication skills
  • 1-3 years’ experience with server and workstation OS
  • Networking experience and understanding of SNMP
  • Experience with industry standard Backup and DR solutions


  • Experience with Labtech/Automate Experience or similar RMM platform
  • 4-year degree or equivalent certifications
  • Systems integration experience
  • Experience in developing and testing new processes
  • Patch Management experience
